Our Office
We are proud to provide a state-of-the-art facility for the highest quality endodontic care available. It is one of our top priorities to protect the well-being of our valued patients. For this reason, our office meets and surpasses all OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and CDC (Center for Disease Control) standards. We are confident that you will feel right at home in our office as we welcome all patients as if they were family.
Office Hours
Office hours are Monday thru Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, we are closed on Fridays. Our office is closed for staff lunches from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
If you experience a dental emergency after hours & need to speak to the doctor, he can be paged 24 hours a day at 816-741-5480, option 5.
Appointments
Please contact our office by phone to schedule an appointment. Our staff is always ready to assist you and to answer any questions you may have. New patients are always welcome.
Emergency Appointments
Patients who are in acute pain will be worked into our schedule as quickly as possible. Though we make every effort to see our scheduled patients on time, accommodating emergency patients may necessitate a delay in your appointment. We appreciate your understanding.
During your course of treatment, if an emergecny occurs, please contact our office at any time. Dr. Smith can be reached after hours at 816-741-5480, option 5.
Cancellations
If it is absolutely necessary to change or cancel an appointment, we ask that you kindly provide us with at least 48 hours advance notice. We ask for this advance notice so that we can offer this appointment to another patient. A fee may be charged if a patient does not show up for an appointment or canels without sufficient notice.
Insurance
Dr. Smith is a Delta Dental Premier, Cigna PPO provider, Dentemax, and DeCare provider.
Prior to the patient's appointment our staff will contact the dental insurance to verify eligibility, check deductibles, maximum amounts & the reasonable & customary percent insurance pays on the scheduled procedure. Estimated co-insurance and deductibles are collected the day services are rendered.
We also encourage every patient to contact their dental plan so they are fully aware of their coverage and any limitations. The insurance relationship constitutes an agreement between the carrier and the patient. As such, we can make no guarantee of the estimated coverage or payment.
As a courtesy, claims are filed electronically to achieve the maximum reimbursement to which the patient is entitled.
Payment Options
For your convenience, we accept cash, check, credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover). We also offer interest-free payment plans through CitiHealth Card with approved credit. You can apply online at www.healthcard.citicards.com or by phone 1-866-843-2330.
Our Fees
Fees are determined by the complexity of the tooth being treated. These fees are considerably lower than alternative treatments such as bridges or implants.
The fee for the root canal will include all necessary dental x-rays, additional visits needed to complete the treatment, routine post-operative care and routine re-evaluations.
Any additional procedures (such as initial consultations, post and core buildups, surgery, emergency pulpotomy or after-hour visits) will be subject to additional charges.
