Norman A. Smith, Jr, DDS, MS Dr. Smith has provided endodontic care to the area since 1983, performing over 20,000 successful root canals. He earned his undergraduate degree at Westminister College and post graduate residencies at UMKC School of Dentistry. Northwestern University in Chicago allowed him to earn a Masters degree in Endodontics. Dr. Smith became the first graduate-trained, Board Certified Endodontist in Kansas City in 1987. Dr.Smith attends continuing educational courses to stay at the forefront of his speciality so that he can provide optimal care to his patients. Dr. Smith is a member of several professional associations, including the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists and the American Board of Endodontics. Dr. Smith is dedicated to his patients and always makes sure his patients are treated like family and are comfortable during their visit. He also enjoys working with his professional, dedicated staff. Dr. Smith is very active in the local community. Dr. Smith is the Scoutmaster for Troop 395 & has received the Silver Beaver, Boy Scouts of America, is Elder at Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church and enjoys fishing, hunting, camping and studying the Civil War. Dr. Smith is a native of Oklahoma ("Boomer Sooner") and now resides in Smithville, MO with his wife, Ilse and their 2 children Spencer and Haley. Dr. Smith's oldest son, Norman, resides in the Kansas City area. |
